Sherman leads Underscore’s investments in computer vision, mobile technologies, and ambient intelligence. As a former researcher, software engineer, and product manager, Sherman is particularly passionate about supporting researcher-entrepreneurs and product founders.

He comes to Underscore VC from PatientPing, where he led the launch of multiple care coordination products and growth/definition of the product management organization. Before PatientPing, he was a Kleiner Perkins Fellow and Product Manager at Mango Health. Additionally, Sherman was previously a Greylock X Fellow and a mobile developer at Khan Academy.

Sherman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University, where he conducted computer vision and social gamification research under Dr. Fei-Fei Li and Michael Bernstein.
