Underscore VC Is Moving: A New Home for Boston’s Early-Stage Tech Community

On August 18th, Underscore VC will move into a new home at 131 Oliver Street, a classic brick-and-beam building connected to a modern office tower along Boston’s Greenway. Just across the bridge from The Barking Crab, the new location offers scenic views and an inspiring backdrop for founders and builders. With 8,775 square feet of space – a welcomed increase from our 5,300-square-foot home in Old City Hall – this move reflects more than just a need for room to grow. It’s an investment in our mission to serve as a community convener and champion for Boston’s early-stage tech ecosystem.

At the heart of our new office is what we’re calling the Core Community Hub: a dynamic, flexible space designed for community gatherings, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Decked out in Underscore VC’s signature yellow—from a striking tiled café bar to bold, energetic accents throughout—the space is built to spark creativity and connection. Beyond community events, it will also provide incubation support for our early-stage portfolio of AI-first B2B software companies, helping founders get the resources, mentorship, and network they need to scale.

While we loved the iconic façade and landmark history of Old City Hall, we’ve outgrown it—and that’s a good thing. Our community is thriving, and this move represents the next chapter of Underscore VC and our commitment to fostering bold founders and the Boston tech ecosystem. We can’t wait to welcome you into the new space, share ideas over coffee, and continue building the future of tech—together. See you on the Greenway soon!
