Gabby’s two favorite aspects of her work in venture are exploring new ideas and building relationships. She’s always excited to learn about a new industry, identify market trends, or test out a new product. When it comes to getting to know founders, her natural sense of curiosity drives genuine conversations, enabling her to dig deep and understand the “why” behind their work.
With a background in investing and early and mid-stage go-to-market, Gabby knows all too well the common stumbling blocks startups encounter. She loves working alongside founders as they overcome these challenges.
At Underscore VC, Gabby diligently uncovers and evaluates new early-stage, B2B software investment opportunities. While she enjoys learning about all sorts of markets, her primary investing areas of focus include application software, product-led growth, the future of work, and vertical-specific applications of AI. Gabby also leads much of Underscore’s academic work, supporting up-and-coming student founders across Boston’s academic institutions.
Gabby joined Underscore from OpenView, where she focused on Series A and Series B investments in enterprise application software and companies with strong product-led growth. Before OpenView, Gabby began her career in go-to-market at Boston-based Klaviyo, working on their enterprise sales team.
In the warmer months, you’ll catch Gabby spending her free time on the Boston esplanade or hiking outside the city with her black-lab mix. A self-proclaimed foodie, Gabby loves trying new recipes. Her signature dish is spicy rigatoni alla vodka.
Gabby holds a BA in Government from Dartmouth College, where she also played on the Women’s Lacrosse team.
